April 8, 2014 I decided to check out the Cambridge Junction covered bridge, a spot I like to start my runs from, to see if the snow had melted. Instead I happened across the Lamoille River, frozen just 3 days ago, in full spring thaw flow. It is amazing the power of nature. Standing there for just 10 minutes, I watched and listened to this eerie but beautiful spring thaw. Large ice chunks crashing into each other, floating along but knowing how dangerous this site can be. The sound was like a Natural Geographic documentary of the glaciers! It is a reminder of the power water has. When I was done videoing and uploading, I looked up and noticed that it came to a full halt. Vermont’s Lamoille River was done for the time being.
