Spring skiing at Smugglers Notch and Stowe MountainSpring skiing continues through mid April. Take advantage of the great discounts for lodging at Sterling Ridge and skiing at nearby Smugglers Notch and Stowe Mountain Resort.

Spring also brings a wonderful aroma to the air of maple sugaring. There are many sugar houses to visit where one can see the sugaring process and get a fresh taste of maple syrup. At the end of April, St. Albans hosts Vermont Maple Festival.

A quintessential small town experience, the annual Vermont Maple Festival features a parade, fun for the kids, maple syrup competitions and of course confections and maple products of all types.

Maple Sugaring houseApril also begins the trout fishing season; so put away your skis and grab your fishing pole to fish the Lamoille and Brewster rivers. Green Mountain Troutfitters, just down the road, offers a guide service and the equipment to make any fishing trip more fun.

As the snow melts and the days become warmer, it is nice to see the rebirth of our wildflowers, green grass, and perennials. Spring is our off-season and we offer low rates on our cabins.
